Rift Run

Troubleshooting

A paired controller does nothing

Focus the game page, then press a controller button. Browsers can hide a controller until a button is pressed on the focused page. The game requires the standard mapping. With Luna, ignore a duplicate nonstandard entry. Try a USB-C data cable or pair again using the controller instructions.

Touch buttons disappeared

Open Settings and turn off Hide controls. You can also adjust Control scale and the Left-handed layout there.

Cloud sync is paused

Your progress is still saved on this device. Reload while online to reconcile, or use Settings to load the cloud run you intend to keep. Do not clear site data as a first repair: that can discard local progress and your cloud-save ID. Runs from different tabs are not merged.

If you just linked a device, an unreadable cloud save keeps uploads paused so the local run cannot overwrite it. Check the connection and try loading again.

The ID will not link

Copy the whole ID from Show ID on the original device. Valid IDs contain 16–64 letters, digits, hyphens or underscores. If the game says the device would not store the ID, allow site storage. Linking asks for confirmation and reloads the page.

An old bookmark opens somewhere new

The portal now lives at the site root. Rift Run lives at /play/. Old game links with stage queries or recognized game fragments still move to the game. A bare root bookmark opens the portal; choose Play Rift Run.

The game will not open offline

Open Rift Run while online first and allow it to finish loading. The portal and Guides are not cached for offline use. If the browser has removed the game’s cached files, reconnect to load them again.

The view feels too busy

Open Settings and turn on Reduced motion, or lower Quality. These change presentation; the game still uses the same controls.
